Monster Hunter Wilds Bowguns Problem

There are perhaps too many weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds, and you are shown with all fourteen of them at once, as the game instructs you to select one and begin hunting. The majority of them are enjoyable (Longsword Gang Unite), and each one fits a certain style of play. However, let’s all give it a go at any newbie who chooses to start with the bowgun.

Although Bowguns, like all other weapons in the game, have their purposes, many series fans are dissatisfied with how Bowguns perform in Monster Hunter Wilds. One well-known post on the game’s subreddit recently referred to the game’s modifications as a “unbelievable step backwards” for the weapon.

Monster Hunter Wilds Bowguns Problem- Fans are not Happy

A user named Blahaj_Kell_Of_Trans wrote this post, lamenting the insufficiency of additional ammo types like Slice and Sticky, the absurd recoil on shots like Spread, and the limited amount of ammunition that bowguns can carry before you had to create more. They continue by wishing that bowguns simply always carried a large and diverse supply of ammo so they could continually swap based on the circumstances.

Many fans appear to share their dissatisfaction with the Bowguns, as seen by the comments, which only include other supporters who have similar grievances. One of the most well-liked is from a user named PaliacciGrim, who is upset that Monster Hunter World’s Wyvernsnipe ammunition has been taken away this time. Another user, Ravvs_, has even come to the conclusion that Wyvernsnipe is no longer “worth playing anymore” due to the scarcity of ammunition.

The majority of responses are filled with the same grievances, such as the assertion that bowguns have been “completely neutered” and annoyance at the fact that other weapons have mainly remained unchanged during the transition from World to Wilds. Blahaj_Kell_Of_Trans is making every effort to encourage users to fill out Capcom’s feedback form and especially highlight bowguns in order to perhaps receive some future upgrades. However, it remains to be seen if Capcom will pay attention.
